Well here we are, on Friday April 13th with the finale of our fan web series "Friday The 13th: the Obsession"
I could go on and on about the 13 year history of the project, the stories 3 different incarnations over the years... and the incredible run of this new series.... but no, lets move right on to the final chapter, the final friday... the end of an Obsession.
Lots more updates soon about our new web series THE BOYFRIEND KILLERS, which is a mix of 'Heathers' with 80s slasher films.
Enjoy the final show and you can leave comments below!
We had a bunch of reviews on several of our projects lately. First up a cool news site call 'Search My Trash' which finds and highlights several obscure and bizzare indie films reviewed both Burlesque Massacre and PhotoGRAPHIC, as well as a very in depth interview with creator Tim Whitfield about all things Timberwolf. Check that out here:
BURLESQUE MASSACRE REVIEW / PHOTOGRAPHIC REVIEW / TIM WHITFIELD INTERVIEW
Next up is two VIDEO reviews of a couple of Timberwolf and Midnight Hill short films. I hope this new website from AngelFreak takes off, because I really think the web is fast enough now to handle having reviews and news in video form which film goers can just click on and check out whats happening in the indie film world. Timberwolf and Ynot/Sin Pelo have been playing with this idea for a couple years now with Rydell Danzie's '30sec on set' and even a video news blog he and Tim Whitfield tested out in 2010/2011. The Timberwolf news blog itself wants to do more news blogs and reports on video as well when our studio set up is more solid.
Anyway, check out AngelFreak's review of Joe Patnaud's Friday The 13th: The Storm below:
Now, AngelFreak's review of Tim Whitfield's Forced Survival, shot back in 2005. Tim was very happy to see this review as it is still his favorite project he has ever shot. A very deep, very intense story with an amazing performance by Jillian Swanson. "Oh yea, this is still my favorite project ever." Tim admits, "Sure it has a few technical glitches, and I have improved how I shoot and edit since then, but this was the pinnacle of my New England work and the only thing I have ever shot that is everything I wanted it to be at that time. Kevin had the right mix of threat and awkward innocence to somehow make it work. Jillian had so much trust with me, and gave me everything she had without question. You believe her on screen 100% and I still consider one one of the best actresses I have ever worked with."
Forced Survival Review:
While 'Friday The 13th' always has a bit of sex, drugs and rock and roll. One of the major differences with our fan web series is there is a pretty strong tale of romance wrapped up with the death and mayhem.
This week Hannah Townsend and Marie Lynn shot much of the character driven romance scenes for the series, and we are very happy to share some of the images from that shoot.
So far we have had to be a bit shy about what images we show and which we don't because of the scares and secrets in store. However, the unfortunate part of that is we can't show of the time and care we have taken to really give this series a creative and professional polish. Thankfully with this footage we can show off a bit more as the romance 'Amy' has with 'Stephanie' is common knowledge to people following the series. While there is no gore or body parts strewn all over, you can see images of two lovely and talented actresses at work and in character captured beautifully on HD by Darin Mangan, Rydell Danzie and Tim Whitfield.
Never fear though, 'Jason' reports back on set next week, and as we all know, he doesn't like teens hookin up while he is watching!
Stay tuned, more updates soon!
