New "Friday The 13th" web series!

We had a lot of fun making "Obsession" a couple years back, so we decided to make a new Friday The 13th web series!. This time though its not a fan pretending to be Jason, its Jason doing the work in a classic series style series.

This time, a girl comes to the lake to investigate the history of Jason and the murders at the lake. The series will have flashbacks to Jason in the past as well as a modern story where he comes face to face with a group of skinheads who are terrorizing the lake. Will Jason's murderous temper actually serve a purpose this time?

Lets find out!

You can help make the series happen by donating and becoming a producer! HERE

2 new DVD releases on the way!

Sorry all, been awhile since a website update... but that means we have been working and working hard on many of our projects!

First up Y-Not/SinPelo and Timberwolf West have been re-editing the 2010 web series "Diary Of A Black Widow" starring Hannah Townsend and Shannan Lee Reeve, into a feature film format for a new DVD and VOD release. No longer split into the 10 short webisodes version, the new feature film edit should clock in around 90min and will have some additional footage not seen in the 2010 web series version. The series follows Hannah as a seducer and murder of many men and women, who finally meets her match.

The DVD/VOD should be out by the beginning of the summer.

Speaking of Hannah, we are also almost complete editing the feature "Lucid Fear" in which she plays the twisted villain and sister to the movies lead character played by Marie Lynn. The story is a bit more supernatural for us (or are the characters just imagining the whole thing) as Marie's character begins to be haunted by ghosts of Hannah's victims... various fun takes place from there! No date for release yet, but like the other production looking at the summer as well. For a more detailed story check HERE

We will also have a new free online release with a updated 'remake' of our 2005 short "The Boyfriend Killers" - This new version shot here in LA features a brand new cast and a full 25min TV 'pilot' format.

We also wanted to thank everyone for the incredible support and word of mouth which has helped us and our current features "Burlesque Massacre" and "Photographic" find a strong fanbase!

Boyfriend Killers update...

Just a quick update about the new Boyfriend Killer pilot as we move into October.

Took a bit to line up the cast and crew, but now we are moving forward pretty smoothly and only have about 14 pages left. We will have a larger update on the BF Killer page by the middle of October, but we did just want to post a few shots and update the people following the project. Also, be sure to check out BF Killers on Facebook

More updates soon on our next feature and more shots from Boyfriend Killers!

Lucid Fear - Sick, twisted and artistic?

There is a film at Timberwolf that we have been working on for the last couple years that we haven't hyped too much. We work on it, show a image here and there, but other than that we haven't really talked about it too much. Why? Well even director Tim Whitfield is not 100% sure what they are making, and they have almost been developing as they shoot it. Almost like a photoshoot or a painting.

"Everything we make I guess has our own twist, and style so you know its 'ours', but it still has a certain genre or market its being made for." Tim explains, "It's pretty clear Burlesque Massacre is a retro 70s exploitative picture, and Photographic is a down and dirty revenge flic." While Tim is the first to admit both of those films push there genre a bit, it's still clear what they are. Not so with "Lucid Fear" which was originally based on the Timberwolf 2005 short film "Call Girl" but now has transformed into something quite different. "The very base plot is still there." Tim reveals, "Two siblings who take part in a murder, and then spin into a night of twisted sexual encounters, drugs and more murder." However, Tim says; with the exception of a couple of strong scenes that have carried over from the original short with the base plot... that is were the similarity ends. There are many new twists and plot points, important flashback elements, and even a new villain character played by Crobar Omega who became part of the film over time.

The lead actresses Marie Lynn and Hannah Townsend (Obsession, Photographic) were very involved in expanding the new plot, and while there is a horror and thriller element like most of the TW projects, this film follows the two leads as there world sort of crumbles around them. Marie Lynn's character has several drastically different looks through the film as they show how her life went from great to disastrous. The story pushes the edge with a deviant/manipulative sexual theme and even has a underlining supernatural element. "I honestly don't know exactly what we made." Tim admits, "It is certainly the most un-commercial thing I have ever done, and I haven't done much that crosses the line into supernatural before. While it has stuff like the 70s drive-in film look, the kills, the nudity and all that, the story and the vibe of the film itself is very different... frankly its right off the fucking deep end. I think you will love it or hate it... no in between."

Tim and Hannah also had a talk about making this the first Timberwolf project to make the rounds at a few film festivals. It has completed shooting except maybe a few ADR loops and pick-ups and now is deep into editing. More news on that as it develops.

Great PhotoGRAPHIC review, Boyfriend Killers shoots and more...

Our latest feature PhotoGRAPHIC is doing well on both DVD and VOD and has just got a great review from "The Straw Man" who has tons of reviews on websites and Amazon. You can check out that review (and warning) from him HERE

In addition, the VOD section on Amazon has a couple of people who HATE PhotoGRAPHIC and say its the most horrible thing they have ever seen! LOL - really now? Anyway, while we realize we can't satisfy everyone, such one sentence 'one star' hate, and not an actual review doesn't do much but make us laugh, and certainly doesn't hurt our sales. But we also don't try to hide it from our fans by only posting the better reviews! While the VOD version is 5min shorter than the DVD, with some toned down graphic kills and nudity... we doubt they would like either version :)

Boyfriend Killers is now shooting...

The pilot to the new web series "The Boyfriend Killers" has started shooting and we are off to a great start. Next week we are off to the woods to finish off another 10 pages and we plan on having the first episode on in Sept. It has been really hot here in California lately, hopefully it doesn't hold us back next week! Thankfully after this, our next shoot is at a pool so the girls can cool off!

Lucid Fear pick ups, and Hannah leaves us :(

Actress Hannah Townsend, who has been in several projects for us is wrapping up here last couple of days on our feature "Lucid Fear" before she heads off to NY. It has been great working with her and she is certainly one of our favorite actresses ever. While we have no set release for Lucid, this is the last few days of shooting so we hope to have a release date for you soon.

We have had a lot going on here so news has been sporatic. But we hope to have more steady news and updates as we move into the fall and begin several new ventures. Thanks for following us!

Shooting new projects, editing and more...

As we roll into August, Timberwolf gets ready to shoot two new projects, the first is a new 80s style slasher film in the spirit of "Slumber Party Massacre" and other classic horrors from that era.

"Harvest Tide Slasher" is the story two sisters, around college age, one who is a model (Victoria Vertuga) that has taken over the house and and taking care of her younger sister after their parents died years before. The model ends up inviting a bunch of her model friends over on Halloween night and well.. you can follow it from there. Of coarse , being Timberwolf it will be much deeper and much more twisted than that... but overall its very grounded in a 80s film set up, just like Burlesque Massacre screamed of the 70s exploitation look and feel.

The film will be very violent and push the envelope of gore, violence, nudity and all the thinks that made the 70s and 80s great. No "PG-13' bullshit here.

Meanwhile, our new web series "The Boyfriend Killers" gears up to shoot its pilot episode. The new series is about 3 girls who become assassins of sorts, as they are hired to kill off cheating, unworthy boyfriends. Obviously, a dark comedy, the series will still have a serious deadly edge to it.

The pilot show is fully funded and we will have updates and images as it shoots its first show.

LUCID FEAR

The feature "Lucid Fear" is in it's editing stages and has a few pick up shoots to do in August.

This film is a bit more supernatural than most Timberwolf projects, and leans more toward creepiness and dark emotional conflict instead of outright graphic violence.

BURLESQUE MASSACRE AND PHOTOGRAPHIC

Finally, we did want to remind visitors of the projects that are currently available. Our 2011 release BURLESQUE MASSACRE is still doing well and has some great reviews. You can get it on both DVD and Amazon VOD.

PHOTOGRAPHIC which was released on DVD in February of this year has just hit Amazon VOD this month as well. It has a great review HERE

Thanks for your support of Timberwolf!

PhotoGRAPHIC now available on VOD

Our very violent and graphic 81min. horror/thriller PhotoGRAPHIC was released on DVD back in February, however we had to re-edit it for VOD since it was deemed to sexually and violently graphic. Now, a new 76min version is available AMAZON VOD. This edit is still a very effective R type rating with violence, gore and sexual content, but trimmed back a few minutes here and there for a total of 5min in this VOD version.

Director Tim Whitfield still likes the edited cut and is very happy with it. "I think this edit is still very effective." states Whitfield, "It's a great way for horror fans not familiar with us to rent it online for only a couple of dollars and decide if they want to own the DVD. If you like this version, you will LOVE the DVD and fans will get to see something that is stronger and has more footage."

Timberwolf returns to its roots, and a classic short debuts online.

Our new retro 80s feature film that is currently in pre-production this month not only harks back to classic 1980s slasher films, but also harks back to our own beginnings as a production group over 10 years ago.

Back in 2000 Timberwolf and director Tim Whitfield made its first slasher feature "Summer's End: The Legend Of Samhain" in New England. Then shortly after in 2003/2004 director Joe Patnaud (Cold Hear Of Crystal Lake, Snuff) made a 30min short subject 'sequel' called "Samhain 101". The group then moved on to other things, but Tim always wanted to revisit the "Samhain" idea someday.

Eventually the group moved to LA, and made a few horror/thriller features and web series. After the success of both the 70s retro horror BURLESQUE MASSACRE and our fan web series FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE OBSESSION this past year, producer/director Tim Whitfield felt if Timberwolf was going to do a 80s style slasher next, why not reboot our very own slasher series which was very popular in the microcinema community back in Timberwolf's New England days. "While that first feature we shot in 2000 is very amateur compared to the work we are doing today, people still ask about it, and if we might follow it up." Tim reveals, "Director Joe Patnaud ended up doing a follow up of sorts as a short film in the summer of 2003 based on my original feature. I would say that his short, SAMHAIN 101 was probably our first step to a more polished, professional shoot along with SHADOWS FALL."

While the project itself was shot before HD on miniDV SD using the Canon GL2, Tim points out that it was still professionally planned and also featured new, but trained actors who would move on to many other larger projects. "Before SHADOWS FALL and SAMHAIN 101, actors in my projects were just friend from school or work." Tim explains, "Before 2003 the only project I cast outside actors, was the 2 leads of "Summer's End" in 2000, but even that film was cast with all my friends in the secondary roles. So 2003 was the first break out effort to get beyond the amateur level.. and because of the actors and Joe's DP/Directing work I think Samhain 101 still holds up in many areas today."

That short film, SAMHAIN 101 which runs 29min has only been available on our DVD DETOUR INTO MADNESS VOL 1. until now. You can check it out below. The Detour DVD is also still available on AMAZON.

The return of 80s slasher films...

Recently, Timberwolf has found a nitch in something that has, over the past year; tripled peoples awareness of us and our films. With the 70s style 'drive-in' horror BURLESQUE MASSACRE, our gritty rape and revenge thriller PhotoGRAPHIC, and our fan series FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE OBSESSION, we have captured a very retro feeling to what we have created, and fans have enjoyed every minute of it.

Because of this we felt the next step was to create a straight out 80s slasher film from the direct to video 'explosion' back in the 80s. We have developed a story that mixes the elements of "Slumber Party Massacre", the slasher classic "Halloween" and of coarse our favorite "Friday The 13th". In addition to this we are wrapping it with our own signature style and even a throw back to our very own "Legend Of Samhain" projects from 2000 and 2004.

The story involves a girl who has a slumber party with her fellow model friends on Halloween night, but her younger sister, takes the form of a killer from the past and creates havoc on the party. With strong elements of gore, violence, and sex/nudity we plan on recreating the feeling of horror from 20 years ago, but at the same time add our own style and strong characters woven throughout.
